 "Cash machine :. Brief: Design an understated housing for a desk top money counter to be used by local banks.
Why it works: The design for this money counter is simple and practical. The housing interacts with the components in a sensible way which allows for ease of everyday use and maintenance. The sorting tray on the left of the unit adds to the overall practicality.")
 "AFGEM viewer :. Brief : Create a device that will enable a gem buyer to view the microscopic engraved serial number on the Tanzanite stone for verification purposes when it is purchased.
Why it works: The viewer is simple to operate and easy to understand. This was achieved by a thorough research and prototyping process. The viewer can now be found in jewelry stores around the world.
How it works: An article of Tanzanite jewelry is placed face down on the circular viewing bed, and secured with the retaining clip. Below the viewing bed is a small surface mounted camera, the extended focal tube allows the camera to magnify up to 200 times. This magnified image of the gems surface is displayed on an LCD screen. Using the thumb controls the user brings the Gem into focus. The viewing bed is then moved, also using the thumbs until the position of the engraved number is located.")
 "Radox Shower :. Brief: Because of very positive market response to the new Radox foam packaging it was decided that the 'Shower' packaging should be brought inline with the rest of the range.
Why it works: One of the biggest challenges of this project was to mate a design which was based on rectilinear forms and facets with an existing neck closure which was the stylistic polar opposite. The new sleek modern design of the new bottle does well to stand apart from the competitors and makes a fitting addition to the Radox family.")
 "Radox Foam :. The Brief: Design a new bottle for Radox bath foam which physically embodies the brand iconography.
Why it works: One of the most important styling cues I took in designing the new bottle was that of early glass apothecary bottles. The body of the bottle is faceted to distort the reflected and refracted light in much the same way a glass bottle would while at the same time drawing attention to the rich colours of the product inside the bottle.
The cap alludes to the shape of a stopper in an old glass bottle.")
