What's a PostBidWin?
The name may seem strange: POST? BID? WIN? Is this just another job bidding site where I'll get lost in the never-ending database of sub-par freelancers, including translators, sales people and post-office workers? Or wait... is this a post office?
Not At All!
Although you can bid on projects, PostBidWin is much more than a job bidding site. We cater exclusively to the creative design community, so you'll never be lost among thousands of workers in unrelated fields. Our software was designed with the creative designer in mind, so your Portfolio and related services are not an after-thought. We have representatives that actively market your services and portfolio every day of the year, we don't sit back and wait. You Post your images and services, we market them, we all Win!
So what's with the Name?
Why "PostBidWin" and why not "The Creative Design Agency", "iPortfolios.com", "FreelanceDesigners.com" or such? PostBidWin reflects the entrepreneurial process that our users experience: employers post projects, artists post their portfolio, employers receive quotes and contact artists, artists complete projects, everyone wins. You can also win in other ways: you can use the web space as a springboard to promote your artistic experience and actively sell your services. Anyway, "PostBidWin" sounds so much more fun and lively than those other names. And that's what we are all about - action.
Action? I want Action!
We all want action - that's what keeps life interesting and that's how you make money. Business isn't stagnant and that's why businesses need you to update their look, sell their product, and shine their shoes (so to speak). We don't sit idly by while your "personal description" gets lost with the freelance lawyers and secretaries. We market your professional looking Portfolio to prospective Buyers. We guide you in making decisions to advance your freelance career. If, along the way, you can make some extra money by bidding on freelance work, all the better!
I don't Have to Bid?
Of course not! Some of our members prefer to not bid on projects at all, but instead use us as a Portfolio hosting site or a marketing tool to drive traffic to their personal website. Other members prefer to bid on every job that they have time for, while others use our site to sell their work or services with our Buy Now Packages. Of course, we recommend using all the tools that we have available for use to maximize your visibility; that's why we built them.
What else did you Build?
Unlike other bidding sites, we know your Portfolio is your lifeline and we treat it as such. We devoted long hours researching the best displays and layouts to show off your work in a fair but effective way. Other sites may allow you to change the background color of your portfolio information section or some other useless function, but we prefer to stick to the real issues - like promoting your portfolio on industry-targeted search engine ads and print campaigns across major cities. We also have tools to proactively sell your services at a price that is fair to you. Do other sites offer that? Some might - but we don't take commissions, even on Stock Art.
What about my Image Gallery and Copyrights?
We highly value your images and protect them from improper use through special web programming and watermarking. We also auto-thumbnail your images so that you don't have to waste time doing it yourself. We display your images directly in your Portfolio alongside your personal information so that prospective employers needn't search around. We will soon be releasing a method to organized your gallery by image type or your own custom groupings.
What else will you do in the Future?
PostBidWin is a young company and we love change. Your membership gives you immediate access to all the new features that we develop at no extra charge. Some of the cool new features that we have in the pipeline include a file-sharing system that will bridge the gap between you and your client, customizable image categories in your portfolio, and customizable image watermarking & thumbnail options. And that's just a taste of some of the features to come.
