Artist Statement

Alexander Joo is a multi-faceted artist who enjoys a successful freelance career in a broad spectrum of creative outlets. He presently works as a graphic designer, illustrator and writer for acclaimed international companies, studios and magazines, while remaining insistent that each creative discipline is crucial in supporting the others.

Though initially trained in graphic design and illustration, he took to the areas of art direction, digital photography and writing quickly and competently. With his affable personality and professional demeanor, he easily networked and gained the contacts he needed to make the leap from hobbyist to professional in each capacity.

With a cache of steady clients, Alexander Joo became a fulltime freelancer, gratified with new clients and the variety of challenges that they bring, to remain fresh and to retain the edge that drives creatives. He has honed his skills to become quickly adaptive to any environment and observes steep learning curves as ant hills and not mountains.
