Hello,
My name is Mike and I am a Graphic Designer with experience in both Web and Print Design. For the past 5 years I have been working at a design company producing website designs, logo designs, print ads and Flash animation. Some of my Flash projects include online training materials, online commercials, music videos, interfaces, games and more.
I have recently made the transition to freelance design and I feel that my experience in the industry has allowed me to provide professional quality service and support. I have worked with clients all over North America in industries ranging from automotive sales to touch screen interfaces.

 "Celestron Telescopes :. For this project I was responsible for creating a Flash knowledge base and mini-site for 2 lines of Celestron telescopes which included 360 degree product shots which allow a user to rotate a telescope on-screen.")
 "The Mobile Lounge :. On this project the client was aiming to bring the atmosphere of their stores into an online presence. Working with a team of designers, we came up with the concept of the lounge being online, where instead of just having buttons on the site the user would click on various items such as coffee cups and signs to navigate the website. I was responsible for creating all of the Flash content including a dancing game, a ringtone mixer, a lounge where the user can select items on the in-store menu, and little hidden features such as a game of pong and a spillable coffee cup. The most challenging part of this project was to make it fun and visually appealing, but intuitive enough so that users could easily navigate the site.")
 "OLH Opportunity Animation :. For this project the task was to create and animate an interesting set of visuals to go along with a script that was provided detailing a business opportunity. This piece was particularly challenging because of the business-like nature of the vocal track. I had to come up with an exciting set of illustrations which were then animated in Flash to try and hold the attention of the viewer. I tried to take an original approach to this animation by incorporating fun visuals with the audio.")
 "Flash Movie Maker :. For this project, the task was to create a web application where the user could upload their personal photos to a Flash interface and lay them out along a timeline in order to create a slideshow which could then be sent to their mobile phone. I was responsible for creating and coding all of the interface elements. If you click on the example to the right you can actually play around with a beta version of the app, keep in mind this version is a test version, but you can get an idea of how it works by dragging the photos from the left into the timeline to the right and pressing the play button as well as adding effects such as zoom and transitions to the photos in the timeline. Try overlapping images in the timeline for cool transition effects.")
 "OLH Designs :. This is a dynamic email template. These Online Stationery Designs are dynamic email templates that carry a company's message to the client in the place of everyday regular black and white emails. A company's identity is worked into these designs and they are used as everyday email templates as well as for email marketing campaigns. These templates feature elements such as dynamic areas where users can upload their own photos and links and have a design custom made to suit their needs.")
