Artist Statement

For more than five years I was a journalism high school teacher with extensive experience in ad design using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign CS, as well as QuarkXPress. I also have experience with public relations, marketing, journalistic writing/editing (AP style) and some basic experience with Illustrator and web design. I am very proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat to create PDF files for print.

In my role as journalism adviser, I also spent countless hours creating advertisements for local businesses (as well as parents). While I regard print advertising as my specialty, I do have knowledge in basic graphic prep for web sites.

Recently, I opened a small freelance business devoted to graphic design and printing. Feel free to take a look at my company web site (www.b4g-designs.com) for some samples of my recent work.
